This is the buyer's wife typing. I love this thing so much. I never really used a slow cooker growing up, and my husband taught me how to use them with a 2qt Crock Pot. I have chronic pain and mobility issues and I think this brand is better. Upgraded to a 4.5qt, which makes me really happy because I only have so much energy and pain tolerance to get through the day, and I love being able to get it ready the night before, let it cook as I sleep, and not have to worry about the lid jostling thanks to the steam release on the lid. It also allows me to make healthy but affordable food for my husband and myself, which is big when you're low income or check-to-check. I love making food, forgetting about it, eating it and having enough left over to eat more the next day. Also, IT BEEPS! It beeps when your food is ready, and the touchscreen? Oh Lord I love me some kitchen appliances with touch screens. It's easy to use, feels intuitive, and the guide is very helpful. I strongly recommend reading the guide that comes with this, even if you're accustomed to using these.
