i needed to replace my 4 quart oblong slow cooker. I thought about it for awhile. All my cookers are oblong. I thought round sounded nice. and also to go smaller. 2 quart instead of 4. I received this cooker this morning. my apt is hugely warm. to warm to cook.so i took this cooker, threw in 7 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, seasoning and corn starch and flour. in 4 hours on low, i had chicken and gravy! best little slow cooker and a great price too! you wont be disappointed with buying this cooker!

For a single's or ouple's Meal Preps

I had a larger (6qt) crocker, but it was too big for just my wife and me. We always had plenty to share with the kids if they dropped-by. But downsizing has a place, even in the kitchen, so getting a smaller slow cooker made sense. I can routinely make 4 generous servings of chili, beans (1 lb at a time), lentils, soups, etc. So, if I remember to start crocking after breakfast lunch will be ready without a delay. (I will wash and soak my new beans dinner, rinse, and be ready to crock after breakfast -- HIGH setting for 4-5 hours. The WARM setting is used when I've made soup, out of concern that the liquid might evaporate off before I've licked the pot clean.
