I guess you get what you pay for.

What happened to Crock Pot Brand high quality and reliability? Had the older version of this model for almost 15 years. My daughter needed one, so I gave it to her as it was still working great. Wish I'd kept it. This is the same basic model and I saw that it was on sale so bought the pretty color to go with my kitchen. Big mistake. The minute I took it out of the box was amazed how light it was; not half the weight of my old one. I thought the light weight was due to advanced technology, but no. The light weight is more likely due to cheaper production costs. The inside ceramic pot gets as hot on Low as it does on High! The Warm setting doesn't give off enough heat to keep anything warm. Also, The lid doesn't fit properly and I would imagine let's out too much heat. I guess that partly makes up for the ridiculously high temp of the low setting [sarcasm]. I've used it twice and since I was there to watch it was fine, but that defeats the purpose - I would never leave this unattended. I'm sad. Crock Pot was one of the brands I was able to depend on. Glad I kept the box .

Spend a few dollars more and get a different unit

Price is right, but the unit only has 3 feet on the bottom that are very narrow and for the size of the crockpot it is a little bit unstable. Also, the knob already came off. Lastly, there is no light indicator to show that it is getting power to know that it is actually warming up so you have to wait 15 to 30 minutes to see heat building up on the underside of the lid in order to know that it's actually working

Lid Rocks Back n Forth, Crappy Quality!!

This is a piece of garbage mainly because the crock itself is warped, not the lid. This allows the lid to rock back and forth and I can't imagine what it does when cooking in it (must be noisy with rocking and lifting). With the lid not sitting level on the crock will allow the moisture to escape more and dry food out. So, no thank you Crockpot! And, by the way, I bought 2 other crockpots from another store, a 2 quart and a 4.5 quart and the lids rock on them too. So, these too are being returned. I will not look at another Crockpot brand nor another name brand because it has the same quality control issues. I've casted porcelain and stoneware and these facilities must be pulling the crocks out of the molds too soon or cleaning to cause the unlevel crock where the lid sits. What a shame!
