When I put it together i noticed that something wasn't right, got my friend to look and we had 2 rt sides. stopped and thought about where it would go and the side without a skirt was against the wall so, it was fine where it needed to be. My friend Patty sleeps on it and she said it was nice to sleep for 1 person, and giz her dog.

Unlike how it looks in the photos (nice tall fluffy seat cushions), the cushion fill is terrible about 2" thick (aka worthless). I think it's some kind of fiber fill, definitely not sofa foam but then, it is a low-cost futon. The metal framing is well built, no warping and all the leg holes lined up; assembly was easy. The platform is a very heavy gauge wire (think cattle fencing) and has ZERO flexibility. It sits too low to the floor but might be perfect for someone 5' or shorter. Had some cherry wood feet blocks from a discarded sofa hanging out so I raised the couch 4" so now it's good (I'm 5 9"). If you're planning to sleep on this couch forget it unless you like sleeping on a park bench (same for long-term sitting). I need the features this couch offers: the backrest for each half folds down separately (my dog's favorite feature) and perfect size for the space it occupies. Will be replacing the foam in the seat cushions (it has zipper access) or more likely, adding 2"-4" sofa foam to the seat and back, secure it and then cover it with a thick sofa cover. Then it will be relatively comfortable to sit on for extended periods. In my opinion, this futon ought to be selling for no more than $100 shipped.
