I bought two on sale for under $150 for both. I am using these for a closet room for clothing. these will work but if I wanted to put anything heavier I would go for something else. clothing is heavy but wait will be distributed. shelving can be manipulated and bent but you can take a mallet and shape them back. assembly was a bit rough and you will probably need a ladder for the taller unit. if you are using the wheels then each shelf only has 100 lb rating. if you're using the level legs then the rating is higher at 400 lb per shelf. the wheels will snap if it's too heavy. the black coating is on really well so I don't have to worry about it chipping.

The wheels are not heavy duty as stated. After assembling the unit we put stuff on the shelves no where close to 2400 pounds and the wheel bent. Using the stationary feet is probably a better option. The shelving unit it very nice, just not good if you wanted something moveable.

Not heavy duty. The four legs/side posts are about 2/3 rds the dia. of my other rack also rated for 2400lbs. I place a 55 pound sander on the bottom shelf and bent the wires making up that shelf. I then decided to make the rack into two separate racks for fear of having to much weight on one. I would be surprised if it held up to 500 lbs total. The wheels are also under sized.
