The assembly is pretty easy once you put together a rack or two. The directions aren't crystal clear, but it is pretty straightforward. The only things that would make it easier would be for the manufacturer to put a dot on the end of the clip that goes toward the top. Each clip is marked, but it's hard for old eyes to see. Also, each rack has 2,of the 4 wheels which have a lock on them. You will probably want the locking wheels to go on the front of the rack. I have purchased several of these and might purchase another one. No tools required, there is a disposable wrench included to tighten the wheels onto the rack.

Arrived in great condition, packed well. Very sturdy, not too hard to put together by myself (I'm a female in my 60s - attaching the top shelves that were higher than my height took some patience and muscle - if you're short or don't have a lot of upper body strength, I'd recommend having someone help you). I wanted something with wheels so I can move it around in my basement, but you can also build it to sit flat without the wheels. Perfect for straightening up some clutter.
