This is a very clean, modern rack that looks great in my kitchen. This shelf is holding my heavy plants perfectly. However if the shelves are very full and heavy I am unable to push the shelf unit, despite having caster wheels. This item is absolutely perfect in the garage for storage or plants or seed starting. But be sure you move it where you want it first. I definitely would recommend it for an affordable and as a "sturdier than you'd expect" shelving unit. It surprised us how sturdy it is. I guess each shelf should hold 20 or so pounds
