Easy to put together and we are seniors! It's very quiet which we were looking for and works quite well. We bought this just to try out a rower and see if we really wanted to spend the money on an expensive one. The only reason to spend more money is to get greater resistance but that will be awhile for us:) The only con is the seat is not comfortable but I plan on getting a cushion which you apparently need for all rowers.
