Folding rower to store away is not necessary.

The hardest part of the assembly is removing it from the box and cutting through the tape it is wrapped in. Did everything myself and it took me about 45-60 minutes total. The apps that connect to the rower are very good and have plenty of follow along workouts. This 63 year old highly recommends this machine.

If something like the Concept 2 or the Merach air rower is out of your budget, this is a good place to start. It provides a great workout and is very easy to assemble. A magnetic rower is different from an air powered one, but you can still get a great workout out of it and the price is very hard to beat.
