Definitely would have helped to have a "helper" as doing it by myself was a bit of a pain. It's quite low to the ground, have to be careful getting down to seat (old and out of shape, I am", getting better the more I use it. Hopefully it will "do the job" and I'll start getting in better shape......just need to use it. Go for it, I see no problems with the machine.

I love it

PROS came faster than expected, boxed well, took about 30 minutes to put together, and works great. There is plenty of tension on the pull cord, it's really quiet, the seat glides really nice, and it folds for storage when you pull the pin and undo the set screw. CONS the pin to secure the leg in the stored position doesn't fit in the provided slot. However it cams over far enough it won't fall back down, I don't have kid's though maybe use a bungee cord. The other issue is if you don't put the set screw and pin in before use it isn't as stable. To sum up, I'm not a rower and just started with this machine and switched over from a treadmill, I love it, It is smooth quiet and has plenty of tension. I use it on setting 4, it goes to eight. Great machine for the value.
