Let's talk bling...YES! This toaster is beautiful (and if you are shallow like me, that counts). It was given good reviews, though the price was a bit higher than what I wanted to spend, however I went for it. It DOES toast evenly across a slice of bread. That is what I wanted. Only thing I want to keep my eye on is the sliding lever lowering the bread. At times it seems not to want to hold, but let's wait and see. I love my toaster!
