This unit was rated top of the line for performance, width of slots, value, etc. in Consumer Reports about a year ago and is why I bought it. The appearance and quality are excellent (IMHO. ... We purchased a white unit.). The unit has a frozen-feature which is really nice when toasting frozen buns or bagels. When the toaster pops, each set of slots provide their own notification beep. (another nice feature) Only negatives are: 1.) when pressing the down the levers, it can be a little light because of my heavy hand and the whole toaster wants to tilt forward. Again; this is solely because I tend to press down too hard. If I check myself then all is good.), and 2.) There was no discount available to reduce the cost. (For that reason I rated the value as 3-star.)

GREAT beautiful toaster but there is a feature where every time you touch or plug it in it will BEEP SO LOUD. There is no way to adjust the volume for the beeping and it will do it when the toaster is finished cooking and when you are adjusting the settings to cook your items.
