Professor gives VIVI C26UL Cruiser E-Bike A-

This is for the VIVI C26UL Cruiser Electric Bike, 500w motor, 48v battery, SGS Certified to UL2849. Excellent e-bike. Have had it for 2 weeks and have ridden about 120 miles, mostly in paved surfaces, and a bit on some gravel paths and roads. The only complaint I have is that when in power mode 1, on relatively flat surface, in the highest gear (7), I can barely assist. In any higher power mode, I can't assist at all. I weigh about 225 and just under 6”. It handles most small hills with no problem. There is a fairly steep hill to get to my house and, in power mode 5 and gear 1, I can't assist make it up the hill with some effort, but not so much I have to stand on the pedals. I am considering changing the front gear to something like 52t which I think will be better for me personally. It doesn't come with mirrors, but it does some with front and rear lights, which met my expectations. I purchased as small red flashing light and a small pannier to which I can clip it. I also purchased a helmet with a red flashing light on the back. Safety first! The box arrived with a minor amount of damage and as best I can tell so far, the front fender was slightly bent was the only damage. I used a hair dryer to heat the plastic fender and it was practically like new, nothing I would be worried about. So I would give it a 4.5 overall because it meets or exceeds almost all my expectations for a bike at this price point.

I'm 75 years old and I love this bike. First I rode it like a normal bike and was amazed how smooth it was. Tried the ride assist on a 5 and when it reached 22 mph I let off of the throttle. It could have went faster but I'm 75 and don't need to go faster than that, lol. I can't say enough good things about it.

Impressive Quality and Performance

I'm 75 years old, and I use this bike for grocery trips and recreational riding. I added 50 liter saddlebags for shopping and a water bottle carrier on the handlebars. One additional accessory I'm adding is an anti-theft alarm. I've been biking for 30 years, and I can honestly say this is the nicest bike I have ever owned. I have owned Trek, Jamis and Diamondback bikes, among others. This affordable ebike outclasses all of them, and cost less. It has a reliable motor with plenty of torque and strong acceleration. There is a big interstate bridge right next to my apartment building with a steep incline on the walkway. I weigh over 190 pounds and the bike will cruise up the incline at 18 mph. (I added a photo of the incline) Cruising at 21-22 mph in the 3rd power range (it has 5) is no problem at all on a level road. The bike speed is governed at 22 mph. The front forks (shock absorbers) smooth out bumps for a comfortable ride. The bike is stable, easy to handle, and I feel safe riding it. Cornering balance is excellent. The brakes are good, and will bring the bike to a safe stop. Charging time was less than I expected; I can ride all day on a single charge and have power left over. Assembly was not difficult. I was pleasantly surprised that the gears all shifted smoothly and required no adjustment after I assembled the bike . I took the bike down to the bike shop to have it checked out. It's always a good idea to have a pro look at the bike if you put it together yourself. The bike tech made a few small adjustments on the brakes and the fenders which took about 15 minutes. He didn't charge me for the inspection and tweaks. Overall, this bike is a great value, with solid performance and quality components.
