This is a rocker recliner. Quite comfortable. Very roomy. Spring and foam padded seat. Well padded backrest. Really nice padding on arms (much appreciated 👍). Features: Mechanical handle releases foot rest. Wired remote control for built-in massagers (several vibrators strategically placed) and a heating element for the lower back. Massagers can be set to several intensities. Heating element may be just on/off (I have not tried it). Also, a timer can be set so the massagers do not continue to run, which is a usefull feature. Also comes with a small lumbar pillow. Assembly: I was surprised at having to assemble some parts. Here are some hints and notes... UPON OPENING: The seat pad (vacuum sealed), the arm cushions/upholstery and the box with some parts and assembly instructions are literally shoved into the mechanical mechanism, to save space. The easiest way to retrieve those parts is to pull the handle which releases the foot rest and allows easy access to all the parts. The CHAIR ARMS must be assembled. Each arm requires 5 long bolts and 5 plastic spacer-tubes. I just used the included allen wrench which worked fine. NOTE: in the instructions, the allen wrench is refered to as a "SPANNER". Once the arms are assembled, you must pull the appropriate 'left' or 'right' arm upholstery over the arm-frame (see attached pics). That was a pain. The upholstery features a zipper and I had to fight with each arm for a bit before being able to properly zip up the arm cover. Once on, It actually looks pretty good (see pics). NOTE: Make certain the 'left' and 'right' upholstery goes over the correct 'left' and 'right' arm-frames. The 'left' arm frame has GRAY nylon straps and the 'right' arm frame has BLACK nylon strips. Check your instructions in case those colors have changed. Next, the seat pad is packed vacuum sealed. Unpack and lay across seat so the end with the velcro stripping covers the foot rest. NOTE: Release the foot rest by pulling the handle by the seat, and then attach the seat pad with the built-in velcro strips on the end of the seat padding. Next, with foot rest extended, slide the seatback into the metal frame. The seatback felt loose. I closed the foot rest and then pushed straight down, hard, onto the top of the seatback until a solid CLICK was heard. Then your seatback should feel solidly in place. ELECTRICAL: There are several wires extending from the bottom of the seatback. The seat cushion also has wires extending from the back of the seat. Plug the WHITE wires together and then the RED wires together. Then connect the REMOTE to the larger wire connector. Finally, connect the walwart power supply into the BLACK wire and then you may plug into a wall outlet if you wish to try those features. If not interested, you may ignore the electrical as it has nothing to do with the chair's mechanical operation. Then you are done. Very comfortable. Recommended!
