Start by measuring the space you want to cover, whether it’s your benchtop, a drawer, or the floor area where you stand. Compare those measurements to the dimensions listed on each product page (length, width, and thickness).

• For benchtops: match the full work area or choose sections you use most.
• For standing: select a floor mat that fits your stance and the task zone.
• For long benches: consider roll formats or using multiple mats edge-to-edge.
• Leave clearance for doors, tool chests, and chair legs.

Choosing a size that aligns with your workflow can make a noticeable difference, but preferences vary. If the size doesn’t work out, you can review return options in your Walmart account.

It depends on your tasks and environment. Each material brings different benefits, and checking product descriptions can help you match features to your setup.

• Rubber utility mats: durable, non-slip, and useful for general protection against scuffs and spills.
• Silicone mats: typically heat-resistant and easy to wipe clean—handy for soldering, crafts, or hot tools.
• Anti-static (ESD) mats: designed to help dissipate static around electronics and circuit work.
• Anti-fatigue floor mats: cushioned support for long periods of standing at the bench.

Think about the tasks you do most, the mess you create (heat, oil, water), and how you like to clean up. Pickup and delivery options are available at checkout.

Look for drainage and non-slip features. Mats with holes or channels let water and debris pass through, helping keep the top surface more stable while you work.

• Drainage mats: open patterns and beveled edges that help reduce pooling and snagging.
• Non-slip backing: useful to minimize shifting on smooth floors.
• Coverage: choose sizes that protect splash zones near sinks, wash stations, or entryways.
• Care: lift, rinse, and let dry; avoid harsh chemicals unless specified on the product page.

These features can support safer footing in damp environments, but conditions vary. Always place mats on clean, level floors and adjust your setup as needed.

Most mats respond well to regular, gentle cleaning. Consistent care can help extend their useful life.

• Daily: shake out or vacuum loose dust and debris.
• Wipe-down: use mild soap and water; avoid harsh solvents or abrasive pads unless the product specifically allows them.
• Drying: towel off and let air-dry fully before reuse to help limit moisture buildup.
• Inspection: check for curled edges, heavy wear, or damage and replace as needed.

Some garage or absorbent mats have unique care needs, so it’s best to follow the product’s instructions. If cleaning doesn’t meet your expectations, you can explore replacement options through your Walmart account.

Many mats are suitable for trimming, but always confirm on the product page first. If trimming is supported, a careful setup helps you get cleaner results.

• Measure twice: mark clear cut lines with a straightedge.
• Tools: use sturdy scissors or shears appropriate for the mat’s thickness.
• Technique: cut slowly, in controlled passes, and test fit before final placement.
• Specialty mats: avoid trimming anti-static (ESD) mats unless the description indicates it’s okay.

After trimming, lay the mat flat so it can settle. If your mat arrives rolled, reverse-roll gently and let it relax. Pickup and delivery options at checkout offer flexible fulfillment.
