Great question! You’ll see a few types on our window sticker page, and they work a bit differently.

• Static window clings: Non-adhesive, stick to smooth glass using static. They’re easy to reposition, remove, and reuse.
• Self-adhesive stickers: Use a light adhesive for a longer hold. They’re typically removable but may leave light residue, depending on the surface and how long they stay up.
• Decorative window film: Larger sheets that add privacy, color, or texture. Some are static-cling; others have adhesive. They’re suited for windows, doors, and mirrors.

For the best fit, check each product’s description for material, reusability, and size. Results can vary based on glass texture and environment.

Getting a smooth finish is easier with a little prep.

1. Clean the glass: Wash with mild soap and water, then wipe dry with a lint-free cloth.
2. Mist the surface: For static clings, lightly spray the glass with water so you can slide the design into place.
3. Position and smooth: Start from the center and press outward with a plastic card or squeegee to push out air and water.
4. Wipe edges: Dab away excess moisture to help the cling settle.

For self-adhesive designs, align carefully as you peel the backing and smooth as you go. Moderate room temperature can help the material lay flat. Outcomes may vary by surface and design.

Careful removal and storage can help extend the life of your clings.

• Peel slowly: Lift a corner and remove at a low angle to avoid stretching.
• Rinse if dusty: Gently wash the cling with lukewarm water and let it air-dry.
• Store flat: Place it back on a glossy backing sheet or wax paper. Keep it flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Adhesive stickers: If light residue remains on glass, consider a glass-safe adhesive remover and test a small area first.

Clings generally perform best on clean, smooth glass. Reuse can vary with handling and the specific material.

Double-sided designs are made to be visible from inside and outside, which is handy for doors and street-facing windows.

• Appearance: You’ll typically see the artwork clearly on both sides, often with similar color vibrancy.
• Lighting: Daylight versus indoor lighting can change how bold colors appear.
• Text considerations: If the design includes words, check orientation—some styles are decorative-only and may not mirror readable text.
• Placement: Clean the glass and apply smoothly for the best look.

Visibility can vary based on glass tint and room light, so a quick test placement before final smoothing can be helpful.

Safety decals and anti-collision clings can make glass more noticeable, which may help reduce accidental impacts.

• Distribute designs: Place multiple decals across the pane to break up large reflective areas.
• Eye-level placement: Position on doors and large windows at typical eye height for people.
• Contrast helps: Choose patterns and colors that stand out against your view.
• Combine solutions: Curtains, screens, or frosted films can further reduce reflections.

Effectiveness can depend on your specific space, lighting, and installation. Consider reviewing each product’s details for recommended usage and adjust placement as needed.
