It's possible to create homemade window clings using craft supplies, but keep in mind that store-bought gel window clings are designed for safety and easy removal.

• DIY clings often use school glue, food coloring, and plastic sheets, but results may vary in terms of durability and reusability.
• Commercial clings found at Walmart are made to stick well without damaging glass and can usually be reused multiple times.

If you're looking for consistent quality and vibrant designs, ready-made options are a convenient choice.

If your gel window clings aren't sticking, a few common factors might be at play:

• Surface cleanliness: Make sure the window or mirror is clean and dry before applying the clings.
• Cling condition: Dust or lint on the gel side can reduce adhesion. Gently rinse with water and let them air dry.
• Temperature: Extremely cold or hot surfaces can affect how well clings stick.

Trying these steps can help improve how well your window gels adhere.

Gel window clings are typically made from a soft, flexible vinyl or gel-like plastic material.

• This material allows them to stick to smooth surfaces like glass without using adhesives or leaving residue.
• They're designed to be safe for most windows and mirrors and are often reusable if handled gently.

Always follow the care instructions on the packaging to help your clings last longer and stay vibrant.

To keep your gel window clings in good shape for next time:

• Carefully peel them off the window and lay them flat on a clean, non-stick surface like wax paper or the original backing sheet.
• Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or drying out.
• Avoid folding or stacking clings on top of each other to prevent sticking together.

Proper storage helps maintain their shape and color for future decorating projects.
