Choosing the right size L-bracket depends on your project. Consider these tips:

• Measure the surfaces you want to join, like shelf thickness or furniture corners.
• Check weight support needs—larger brackets generally handle heavier loads.
• Match the bracket length to the width of your shelf or board for balanced support.
• Review product details for exact dimensions and included hardware.

If you’re unsure, bringing your measurements to the store or checking online product specs can help you find the best fit for your project.

L-brackets come in a variety of materials, each with its own benefits:

• Steel (zinc plated or stainless): Offers strong support and resists rust, making it great for most home improvement projects.
• Iron: Durable and often used for furniture or shelving, sometimes with a protective coating.
• Aluminum: Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, suitable for lighter loads.

Choosing the right material depends on where you’ll use the bracket and how much weight it needs to hold. Always check the product description for material details.

Yes, many L-brackets are designed to support floating shelves. Here’s what to keep in mind:

• Look for heavy-duty brackets if you plan to store heavier items.
• Check the bracket’s size and weight rating to match your shelf and intended use.
• Proper installation—using wall anchors or mounting into studs—can help maximize stability.

Always follow the installation instructions provided with your brackets for the best results.

Installing L-brackets on wood furniture is a straightforward process:

1. Position the bracket at the corner or joint you want to reinforce.
2. Mark the screw holes with a pencil.
3. Pre-drill small pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting.
4. Attach the bracket using the included screws, tightening them until secure.

Be sure to use the correct size screws for your furniture and avoid overtightening, which can damage the wood.

Many L-bracket sets include screws, but if you need replacements, you can usually find compatible hardware in the home improvement section at Walmart. To ensure a good fit:

• Check the original screw size and type (length, diameter, head style).
• Bring a sample to the store if possible.
• Look for screws designed for wood, metal, or drywall, depending on your project.
