6 Step(781)

Choosing the right 6-step ladder depends on where you'll use it and what you'll need to reach.

• Check the weight capacity to make sure it fits your needs—options range from 225 lbs to over 1000 lbs.
• Consider the material: fiberglass is great for electrical work, while metal ladders are sturdy for general use.
• Look for extra features like handrails, tool platforms, or anti-slip pedals for added safety and convenience.

Think about your space and tasks to find the best fit for your home or workspace.

Staying safe on a step ladder is all about preparation and awareness.

• Always place the ladder on a flat, stable surface to prevent tipping.
• Make sure the ladder is fully opened and locked before climbing.
• Keep three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand) while climbing.
• Don’t stand on the top step unless the ladder is designed for it.

Read the manufacturer’s instructions for specific safety guidelines and never exceed the weight limit.

Many 6-step ladders are suitable for outdoor use, but it’s important to check the product details.

• Look for weather-resistant materials like aluminum or fiberglass if you plan to use it outside.
• Ensure the feet have anti-slip features for stability on uneven surfaces.
• Store the ladder indoors when not in use to help it last longer.

Always inspect the ladder for damage before using it outdoors, especially after exposure to weather.

Storing a folding step ladder is easy and helps keep your space organized.

• Fold the ladder completely to save space.
• Keep it in a dry area like a closet, garage, or utility room to prevent rust or wear.
• Use wall hooks or racks if you want to hang it up and free up floor space.

Make sure the ladder is out of reach of children and not blocking walkways for safety.

Some step ladders offer replacement parts like feet, handrails, or locking mechanisms.

• Check the product manual or manufacturer’s website for details on available parts.
• Contact Walmart’s customer service if you need help finding compatible parts for your ladder.

Having access to replacement parts can extend the life of your ladder and keep it safe for use.
