I am giving this cube shelf a five star review because it is exactly what I needed and was expecting. For less than $100, our playroom is organized and it looks lovely. It does wiggle back and forth once it is put together, so I would definitely recommend securing it to the wall with more than just the strap it comes with - a metal bracket and a spacer (to compensate for the molding) did the trick for us. I also bought an insert that splits a chamber up into four smaller chambers - it's not a perfectly snug fit but for $10 extra it was worth it. There are a couple of places in the instructions where it says you need two people - I had no problem doing it by myself. However, near the end where I was attaching the final short sides and long sides, some of the screw holes did not match up, so I had to shove the shelf against the door frame and lean with all my might to get the screws to line up with the holes. That part may have been easier to do with some help! But despite the screw holes not being lined up, the shelf pieces themselves once they were screwed in were indeed lined up, so I'm not sure what happened there. All in all, I assembled the shelf by myself and it probably took less than an hour total (though I assembled it over the course of a few hours while taking care of my four young kiddos). I would recommend it. 👍🏼
