Georgia Giant High Romeo Waterproof Steel Toe Boot

I have worn these boots nearly everyday for the last 8 years. I work in heavy industry so I originally got them to meet a steel toe requirement. I picked them out because I love slip on shoes and I remember as a teen overhearing some cranky old geezer say they were “the best f***ing boots in the world”. As an adult now, I can attest that he was right. They have been the most durable and comfortable footwear I have ever owned. On top of wearing them for work, I have reroofed my house, poured concrete, felled trees, and dug trenches all in this one pair. I even survived eastern Washington snow storms in them. After all that, so many years later, I am still confident that they are comfortable enough to go on a 5 mile walk with my pups. From the photos you can see that I have pushed these sad piles of leather past their prime, but that's why I am writing this review. I am finally looking to get a second pair and it made me think back on how amazing these boots have actually been for me. Cheers Georgia Boot. You've made something great.

As a long time Georgia Boot (seven plus years) customer/wearer I decided to try a pair of GB's high top, steel toe Romeo boots. Previously I've had three pair of Hammers and one pair of low top Romeos. Heretofore I've had no problems with any of the the GB's that I've worn. When my high top Romeos arrived and I tried them on I noticed that the right boot had a very discernable squeak when I walked. Initially, I assumed the squeak was due to new leather and would go away as the leather loosened up through wearing. A week later the squeak was still present and even louder. I contacted GB customer service and the lady I spoke with said that it sounded as though the shank might be broken and that I needed to send the boots back. She sent me RMA info and a shipping label electronically and I returned the boots. Within about a week to 10 days (over the Christmas holiday season, I might add) I received another new pair of boots and these seem to be fine thus far. Having never had any trouble with GB, I was disappointed to have received a defective pair of boots however, GB stood behind their product and ultimately supplied me with a good pair of boots. I remain a happy GB customer!
