I bought this for two reasons: 1) to provide ice when our sink was out of commission and 2) to supplement our supply when making homemade ice cream. The machine makes ice very quickly and quietly. It is also very easy to clean. We never ran out of ice during remodeling and no longer need to run to the grocery store to purchase bags of ice, cutting the time it takes to make homemade ice cream in half.

Great value - Great ice!

This was a great investment. Small and compact for my countertop. Ice is made quickly. It does not hold a lot but I have been transferring the cubes to my freezer for storage. The ice is soft and very crunchy/chewable. I use it to blend and it makes a great consistency. When the ice melts down it actually recycles back into the water basin so nothing is wasted.
