This little ice maker is so excellent that I am considering it as gift items. The only issues I had with installation was peeling away the blue plastic. It was so gorgeous I wanted it to stay on - but the instructions were to get rid of it. Then it was difficult to get off. The only other issue is that it is NOT quiet. It is constantly making ice - which I love - but you can hear it on other floors of the house. Love it though!

Hey, would rather have had at a self cleaning model and I thought this was one but the service is so good and the ice is so fast that we are going to keep it. We have ended up turning it off some because we were filling up our freezer. We are a family of 7 ice users!I think the ones that say self cleaning are pretty much the ones where you just pour the vinegar water through it and process it, which is what this one does. The only thing I would change on it is make the ice container larger. We are satisfied with this machine.

I don't have the patience for that but for somebody else it might be perfect, but the ice was good itself nice and crunchy easy to chew.
