The Army Commendation ribbon is authorized as a commendation ribbon and awarded to members of the Army for heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service after December 6, 1941. It was meant for awards where the Bronze Star Medal was not appropriate, i.e., outside of operational areas. This ribbon is to be worn on an official United States Army uniform with Bronze Letter devices. All ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. Army Commendation Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
