It is very quiet and user-friendly. We used this to replace a touchless battery-operated, automatic trash can as it only lasted us a year, and we kept experiencing problems and having to replace batteries every 3 weeks. Needless to say, this one was a much better experience for us and solved our disappointment with the previous automated one. We absolutely love it and are more than satisfied. It is easy to use, hands-free, and looks great in our kitchen. We get compliments on it often! We highly recommend it.

I have used Simply Human trash cans for several years now. The may cost a little more up front, but it is well worth it. I have also bought these cans for my daughter's family since they weren't able to replace the one they had previously and had used for several years. Highest quality and worth the price.
