GREAT CHAIR, BUT THERE IS ONE PROBLEM......
The tilt adjuster does not allow enough adjustment to let the chair tilt back at all. So really, there is no tilt adjustment possible. The spring is way too tight. I solved the problem by cutting off the plastic hand knob adjuster and grinding off the retainer for the 9/16" nut. I removed the nut and replaced the carriage bolt with one that's 1/2" longer and now it works perfectly, but in order to adjust it now I have to use a 9/16" wrench, but I only needed to adjust it once to get the just right position. However, this negates the warranty, but it saved me from shipping it back, because overall, I like the chair a lot. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE MANUFACTURER TO USE A CARRIAGE BOLT THAT IS 1/2" LONGER THAN THE ONE THEY CURRENTLY PROVIDE. Then it will work perfectly and you will have many satisfied customers!

It is a beautiful looking chair, and the assembly wasn’t that bad, as far as it wasn’t hard or complicated. But the screws didn’t really fit great, some of the holes for the screws were already stripped and made it loose fitting. As a chair that is offered as a chair for “Big and Tall”, we found it lacking. I bought it for my son who is 6 feet tall, 260 lbs, and he loves it, except he can’t lean back at all for it is wobbly and he doesn’t want to break it. The quality of the chair itself is great, but because of the terrible screw and screw hole issues I will not be recommending. If the company can do better with the quality of components for putting it together I would give it 5 stars and highly recommend.

Coming apart on day two
The chair itself is nice. The base seems sturdy and I like the appearance. But the assembly was a challenge. The directions were easy enough to understand and follow, but you definitely need two people to assemble this chair - one to hold the pieces where you need them and one to add the screws. Some of the screws went in fine but two were a challenge. It almost seemed like they were already stripped. The first day I used the chair, I was relatively happy with the product. The padding on the seat was comfortable and it seemed like it would be sturdy. I am very large and I was just able to fit in the seat. But I had been hoping there would be a little bit more room given it is a heavy duty chair meant for big and tall people. Towards the end of the second day, one of the screws fell out and I was unable to get it to screw back in. Now the back of the chair is loose because it is no longer firmly attached to the arm rest. And I can see that when I sit back in the chair, it is putting strain in the remaining screws. I believe either other screws will come out, or the material of the chair itself will break. I realize that this was a relatively inexpensive chair, but I certainly expected it to last longer than two days. I purchased a two year protection plan and I am in the process of trying to file a claim, which is not easy as one would think. It will be interesting to see if they will replace the chair (or at least the back portion) and if I will experience the same issue with the screws.
