The Ingenuity Swing ‘n Go Portable Baby Swing (Hugs and Hoots design) is a great portable swing for little ones up to 20 lbs. The only drawback is that it really is a swing that is specifically for that weight because it will not swing if it has a little one any heavier than that, which I have come across a lot of reviews also stating the same. It has so many advantages to this swing that outweigh the one disadvantage. From getting it out of the box, it thankfully comes with every thing you need besides the 4 D-cell batteries and a Philips head screwdriver. Now while the D batteries can be bulky and a little expensive, this particular swing is supposed to have “Hyberdrive Technology” which is said to provide longer swinging time. I have not had this very long, but I also have not had a problem with the battery going dead on me. To continue on with the battery use, the speed seems pretty consistent and I have not had a problem with it keeping speed. It has 5 swings speeds and 3 timer choices to go by, and most have complained about the timer (30, 45, or 60 minutes), but if you just do not choose a timer, you can turn the timer off and let it go. The speeds are shown by lighting up and it blinks as it gets up to speed when you choose to go more. With that aspect, this is a very quiet swing as well. With 8 melodies and 3 nature sounds, you are sure to find something to please your little one and keep them entertained. The assembly time takes about ten minutes to do by myself, as most of it clicked into place. The two screws held the swing more securely onto the frame. This may be a smaller, more compact swing, but it is so convenient that it really makes it worth the buy. You can simply push the lever and it folds up into a nice size that you can carry where ever you need. I have found that it fits really nicely in my closet, without taking up much space at all! The fabric is so soft and is so cute with the “hugs and hoots” design, doting the elephant and owl on the removable toy bar for baby's entertainment. This is gender neutral colors so it could go for any infant! It also has a detachable head support as they get older or in case you need to remove it for cleaning in the wash, as it and the seat cover can be washed in the washing machine on cold gentle cycle! What more could a mom on the go ask for?! It also has a five-point harness that ensures the safety of your baby while they enjoy the gentle swinging motion. I highly recommend to anyone, as the back and forth motion can give you a few moments of time while your baby can feel almost as cozy as when they are in your arms.
