this is a top swing. Im a grandmother who used windup swings not made anymore. These are closest thing and I love it. So far 3 grandchildren have used it and its still swinging perfectly. Folds up easily for storage. Even my 1 year old grandchild loves to swing in it with no problem. Highly recommend

bought this swing for my grandson who likes to be held. And i must say so myself my plan worked out perfectly. It comes with hanging toys and it swings perfect.
