attractive and functional, it boils fast

A bouloir is a nice little appliance to have. In the winter, we like the comfort of hot tea to warm up and stay hydrated. This one works correctly. It quickly boils 1.7L of water, it makes the right boiling sounds, it has a single lighted control lever, and it turns off when finished. It has a true stainless-steel exterior and an easy-to-read water level window. The button on the handle pops up the spring-loaded lid for filling. At the pouring snout, there is a scale filter. The filter is a little tricky to take out to clean but only time will tell if that is a useful feature. In any case, the filter can be removed. I was surprised to find that this boiler does not have any kind of insulation. The exterior metal is also the interior metal. This doesn't seem to be a problem though; water stays hot for more than one hour. American water boilers (120V) cannot match European ones (240V) for speed, but this one is still fast.
