Beautiful stainless steel finish, sturdy heavy duty base and top fit on perfectly. I almost didn't want to take the plastic off (not wanting to get it dirty) but then I realized, it's a garbage can! I didn't pay good attention to or even think to check the power source. ** It needs ( 4- C size batteries ) to operate ** Which is not a huge issue with me just yet, until it stops working. But, there is a low battery warning light system, that lets you know when the batteries will need to be replaced.
