It's not the heavy duty steel filing cabinet of old, but the steel is heavy enough. Drawers slide easily, cabinet lock secures all drawers. Metal adjustments can be placed in drawers that are not full so that files don't slide about. Overall, it's well made and functional.

Construction is solid, drawers glide smoothly in and out, positive latching when fully closed, well balanced, hanging file folders fit comfortably in the drawers, and subtly attractive. Overall, a good value for the price.
