However, the item turned out to be made of cardboard and fabric and is not reinforced with more rigid materials and it sits flush on the floor - no wood feet; does not have a hinged top. I do not expect the item to be sturdy and last over time but it meets my current need of having a bench near the front door of my apartment where people can put on and take off shoes when leaving and entering.
