Better than expected! Lovely piece of furniture, we use as a foot stool to our rocking chair, a seat to put our shoes on, and storage for our throw blankets when we have company! I like that you can just set it directly onto the floor and don't have to put on the screw on feet! But we do use them as it raises the cube up off the floor quite a bit more for our footrest when using the rocking chair (makes chair more comfortable)
