Red Heart Super Saver Medium Acrylic Yarn, Speckle Light Blue, 10oz 482yd

Red Heart has had a reputation in the past for not being the softest yarn—at least until after it's been washed. So, when my order arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how soft this Super Saver Jumbo Speckle yarn was right out of the package. I couldn't wait to start crocheting with it and it proved to be both easy and enjoyable to work with. It glided smoothly through my hook, making the entire project a pleasure. I won't hesitate to purchase more colors!

I crochet octopuses for babies at my local Kaiser, as the newborns grab onto to curly legs as if they are an umbilical cord. (I use red Heart light weight to knit hats too.) I use this white, pink and blue skeins to go with all the hats for variety. The nurses ooh and ahh and say the new moms enjoy the hats and "umbilipusses".
