This is amazing. After suffering an acute kidney injury last year lifting heavy pots of water for water bath canning was a bit uncomfortable. This makes it so much easier. I literally place it on the countertop next to my sink and fill with several pitchers of water. Preheat and then process whatever I am canning and then place the spout over my sink and empty the water. Easy to use just program what time you need no need to sit and watch . I highly recommend this canner.

Good device purchased by a bad customer

The device is well made and the operating instructions easy to follow. Its sole shortcoming is its inability to preserve meat-based dishes. For this, a water bath canner is inappropriate. And so, this is why pressure canners are made. Bottom line: I made an error and bought the wrong canner. There is nothing wrong with this canner; no canner does everything.

I have been canning forever. I have primarily used pressure canners. Water bath canning can be a hassle. UNTIL NOW. This water bath canner is fully electronic and walks through each step. You just press the amount of time recommended in your recipe and leave it. (I prepare the next load or walk away). It just could not be easier. I will be buying a second one next year so I can increase production.
