The app tells you how many times and for how long your cat has use the litter. It will not self clean while the cat is inside, and will auto clean after the cat is done. The compartment where the poop goes is like a trash can with an inside bag, so literally the only thing you do is replace the bag when it’s full. You can also set the box to scoop whatever you will like as well as dump all the little if that’s what you want to. I also love the fact that it doesn’t need that much litter so it does save you some money, or at least it seems like it does not use that much litter. I also love the fact that the box brings its own trash can and smell pods that can be placed in the waste container. The litter looks a little tall in the pics, but I’m sure your cat will be alright since mine is missing a back leg and still gets in and out her box with no issues. Overall, I do recommend this product, it makes my life so much easier, specially now that I’m expecting and can’t really be dealing with cat poop. Ohhh, btw, I use pretty litter for this box because I feel like the lighter for the box, that way it doesn’t break.
