This box is bigger than I thought. That's perfect. It's not too large. Just right. If you read the instructions you should have no problem. My cats are a little hesitant when I change anything so I put a scoop of litter from the old box in and I'm not going to have the box auto clean it for a few days. They have other boxes in the house but this one is in one of their favorite and private spots. I have three cats. It seems really nice. Fingers crossed. The deodorizer smells nice. You can use different kinds of litter.

Item arrived quickly. At first, I was a bit intimidated to get it set up but this automatic litter box is simple to understand and very user friendly! This is a great investment for anyone wanting to spend less time scooping up litter! Item works exactly as described. The odor absorbing gel is a nice addition that came with it. I'm very thankful for an open top design because even if the power goes out or the machine malfunctions my cat can ALWAYS just hop out for safety!! This detail is so important in my opinion. You will want a mat to go under the step as some pieces of litter will naturally stick to paws as they exit. The size works well for my 13 pound cat and it is very silent. We adjusted our fussy cat to this amazing device slowly for a stress-free experience. First, we set his old litter box next to the automatic one and let him investigate on his own terms. We then added in his favorite litter. We stopped changing his old box and that helped prompt using the automatic one more quickly (who wants to go in an unchanged potty box?). Once he was comfortable going in the new box a few times THEN I turned it on. He was very surprised when it started moving on its own. This litter box works great and actually removes ALL the clumps! It's convenient how the clumps are placed into a bag for easy removal. Eventually, we converted to auto pilot and our cat loves his super clean potty box! You could go quite a while without having to take out the collected soiled clumps but I prefer to check it regularly to monitor his gut health. The app also allows weight and frequency monitoring.
