Nice Solid Piece - Assembly Required
I purchased this bookshelf for my wife as a gift. Overall I am satisfied, it feels very solid and I think it will hold up well. I gave it 4 stars due to the fact that the back of the bookcase is made of a more flimsy material and is not "real" wood, the drawer (which is cool) bottom insert (the bottom of the drawer) is also that same flimsy faux-wood material. The rest of the bookcase is (I think) solid heavy rubber wood. Not a huge deal but I would prefer all pieces to be solid heavy wood or think the back and drawer segments should be more solid if not thinner pieces. Assembly also took a bit of time (2-3 hours) with many small pieces which contributed to my rating, it's pretty self-explanatory but I found it beneficial to use a different type of allen wrench tool that I had versus the one that they provided. There is also a large sticker on the right interior side that is some type of product warning but it is very difficult to remove. But, overall, for the price I think you get a solidly built piece that looks great and should be very functional. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
