I was debating getting a new bookshelf from Ikea for my office, then I found this for a third of the cost (with much better reviews). This was shipped quickly and I agree with other reviews that it was packaged extremely well and had very clear instructions. It has a lot of parts and does require a second person at the end to attach the top shelf, although I did all the rest of the assembly myself (45 y/o female with a screwdriver only). I bought 2 shelves but it turned out to be a little larger then I expected (good thing), so I gave the other to my son who also liked it. From the bottom up, the 1st shelf doesn't adjust which is a little disappointing (for my larger books) but the 2nd and 4th rows are adjustable. Its particle board but I am confident it will last just as long or longer then some of the more expensive shelves I was looking at, plus no confusion setting up due to the excellent packaging and instructions. I highly recommend.

Obsessed!! It's a lot of assembly, but worth it!!

I am absolutely obsessed with this bookshelf!! I will tell you the assembly is no joke and took my husband and I four hours to build, but we did take a snack break - lol! It was about 46 steps to build and takes two people. We had some issues with the wood pegs. Some of them were too wide and didn't fit well in the pre-drilled holes. My advice is to not force them, just try a different peg. We ended up with quite a few extras so you are able to do that. One of the pegs we forced through made a little bit of cracking within the top of the arched area of one cubby, but it's not noticeable at all. Just looks a little warped in one of the areas but I'm the only one that knows it's there! I totally recommend this shelf. It is BEAUTIFUL once put together. Make sure to anchor it to the wall to get this as sturdy as possible. Greatly made! I love it!!
