I searched and searched for a table that had the following features - 1. The base would slide under the couch. 2. One side tilted and would tilt both ways so I can use it on the left and right side of the couch. 3. Had a separate side that stayed flat to hold drinks, etc. 4. Didn't cost $50 I searched the internet for a week looking for something. I either couldn't be sure it would tilt both ways or it was way too expensive. This table does everything I want and it's a good sturdy design. Definitely worth the price and I would buy it again. The base is metal and the tops are sturdy. I was able to put it together pretty quickly. The only small negatives were that I had to have my son help me slide the tops on during installation because it was hard to hold the tops, the base and keep the rings open at the same time. He did it easily though. Also, I have it tightened well but if you push on the flat top too hard it will move and everything will fall in the floor. HOWEVER, I was trying to get wax into the large multi section of my diamond art pen and I pushed it into the wax way too hard and near the edge. 100% my fault and I'll be sure not to do that again. I've had no problems with regular use even though I always fill that flat side up with stuff. Overall I think this is a great value for the price and a lovely table for crafting.
