We had plastic tubs with yard items and other stuff in them and started to see the tops opened and chewed on. Come to find out the raccoons were getting into it for the bird seed. This allows us to organize the porch (it's big enough that other plastic bins can sit inside), it can be locked (not included), and it looks nice sitting on the porch. It was easy to assemble and light weight. Should have done this sooner.
