Not the most sturdy, but sturdy enough / not flimsy once set up (probably would not do well with a climbing toddler, but I don't have any of those!). Easy to assemble, even for one person. You don't have to be a carpenter. :) SHELVES ARE FIXED. Cannot be adjusted. Does NOT fit a full sized binder. Would buy again!
