i purchased it so I could cook the turkey for Thanksgiving in it. i didn't have to baste it because it has a system in the lid that steams the foid. it was nice and brown with a crispy skin but juicy inside. it also has glass on top so you don't have to keep lifting the lid to see how it is doing. you can also bake in it. looking forward to trying it.

Makes life more convenient!!

I love, love, LOVE that I can cook my large items in this - turkey, ham, etc., while the side dishes are cooked in the oven. This helps get the whole dinner done at the same time, instead of the time-consuming method of just using the oven for everything - meaning side dishes are waiting for the big item to cook, then you need to pull out the big item and cook the side dishes.....after which time you then need to reheat the big item..... This eliminates the need for all of that extra work, and I couldn't be happier!!!
