Choosing the right screen roll size depends on the area you want to cover. Start by measuring the width and height of your window, door, or patio opening. Add a few extra inches to your measurements to allow for trimming and fitting. Screen rolls come in various widths and lengths, so check the product details to match your needs. If you're covering multiple openings, consider buying a larger roll to minimize waste.

• Measure carefully before purchasing
• Check product specifications for width and length
• Allow extra material for adjustments

This approach can help you find a screen roll that fits your project perfectly.

Fiberglass and metal mesh screen rolls each have unique benefits.

• Fiberglass mesh is lightweight, flexible, and resistant to rust, making it easy to install and maintain. It's a popular choice for most windows and doors.
• Metal mesh (like stainless steel) is more durable and offers higher resistance to tears and pets. It can be a good option for high-traffic areas or places where extra strength is needed.

Consider your needs—if you want easy handling, fiberglass is great. For extra durability, metal mesh may be worth considering.

Cleaning your screen roll is simple and helps keep it looking good.

• Use a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris
• For deeper cleaning, gently wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap
• Rinse with water and let it air dry

Avoid using harsh chemicals or scrubbing too hard, as this can damage the mesh. Regular cleaning can help maintain airflow and visibility through your screens.

Replacement screen rolls are designed to help keep insects out while allowing fresh air in. The mesh size and material play a big role—fine mesh screens are especially effective at blocking smaller bugs. Some products are labeled as 'insect screens' or 'solar insect screens,' which offer added protection.

• Check product descriptions for mesh size
• Look for screens specifically designed for insect control

While no screen can guarantee complete protection, choosing the right mesh can make a noticeable difference in reducing pests indoors.
