Push Touch Latch(445)

Push touch latches use a spring-loaded mechanism that lets you open and close cabinet doors with a gentle push. When you press the door, the latch releases and the door pops open. To close, just push the door until you hear a click, which means the latch has caught. These latches are popular for creating a clean, handle-free look and are often used in kitchens, RVs, and closets. They can be installed on various cabinet types, making access easy and convenient without the need for traditional knobs or pulls.

Most push touch latches are designed to fit a wide range of cabinet and closet doors, but it's important to check the thickness and material of your door before installation.

• Wood, MDF, and laminate doors typically work well.
• Metal or glass doors may require special hardware or adhesives.

Installing a push touch latch is usually straightforward and requires basic tools you might already have at home. Common tools include:

• A screwdriver (manual or electric)
• A measuring tape or ruler
• A pencil for marking screw holes
• Optional: a drill for pilot holes, especially on harder surfaces

Push touch latches are a popular choice for RVs, campers, and motorhomes because they help keep cabinet doors securely closed while on the move.

• The spring-loaded mechanism prevents doors from swinging open during travel.
• They're keyless and easy to operate, which is convenient in tight spaces.
• Many sets are designed specifically for mobile environments and include durable materials to withstand vibration.

If your push touch latch isn't staying closed, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Check if the latch and strike plate are aligned properly; adjust if needed.
2. Tighten any loose screws on both the latch and the door.
3. Inspect for debris or damage that might block the mechanism.
4. If the spring feels weak, consider replacing the latch with a new one.
