Apple trackers, like AirTags and compatible Bluetooth trackers, use Bluetooth to connect with your device. Typically, you can track items within about 30 to 100 feet (10 to 30 meters) in open space. If your item is out of Bluetooth range, the tracker can use Apple’s Find My network, which relies on nearby Apple devices to help locate your item securely and anonymously. Keep in mind, actual range can vary based on obstacles like walls or interference. For best results, make sure your device’s Bluetooth and location services are enabled.

While Apple trackers offer convenience, there are a few things to consider:

• Device Compatibility: Most features work best with iOS devices.
• Battery Replacement: Some trackers use replaceable batteries, so you’ll need to change them occasionally.
• Privacy Concerns: Apple includes safety features to prevent unwanted tracking, but it’s important to stay informed about privacy settings.
• Water Resistance: Not all trackers are fully waterproof—check product details if you need extra durability.

Understanding these factors can help you decide if an Apple-compatible tracker fits your needs.

Most Apple-compatible trackers don’t require a monthly subscription fee. Once you purchase the device, you can use Apple’s Find My network at no extra cost. Some third-party trackers may offer optional premium features, but basic item tracking is typically included without ongoing charges. Always review the product details to confirm what’s included and whether any additional services are offered.

Apple trackers are designed to help you find lost items, not to track people. Apple has built-in privacy features to discourage misuse, such as alerts if an unknown tracker is moving with you. If you receive a notification about an unknown tracker, follow the on-screen instructions for your safety. For personal safety concerns, it’s best to contact local authorities or a trusted professional.

You can attach Apple trackers to a wide variety of everyday items to help keep track of them. Common uses include:

• Keys
• Wallets and purses
• Luggage and backpacks
• Pet collars (with a secure holder)
• Electronics cases

Many trackers come with accessories like key rings or adhesive mounts, making it easy to secure them to your belongings. Just make sure the tracker is firmly attached and not obstructed for best performance.
