Choosing the right size stability ball depends on your height and how you plan to use it. For most adults between 5'1" and 5'6", a 55 cm ball is a common fit. Here are some tips:

• Sit Test: When seated on the ball, your knees should be at a 90-degree angle or slightly lower than your hips.
• Check Product Guides: Many exercise balls include a sizing chart or guide to help you match your height to the correct ball size.
• Consider Activities: For yoga, Pilates, or core training, proper sizing helps with balance and safety.

If you're unsure, check the product description or ask a Walmart associate for guidance.

Most 55 cm exercise balls come with a hand or foot pump for easy inflation. To inflate your ball:

1. Insert the pump nozzle into the valve and begin pumping air slowly.
2. Inflate the ball until it reaches about 80% of its full size, then let it rest for 24 hours to allow the material to stretch.
3. After resting, finish inflating to the recommended diameter (usually marked on the packaging or in the instructions).

Don’t overinflate—stop when the ball feels firm but still has some give. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for best results.

Many people use stability balls as an alternative to office chairs to engage their core muscles. If you choose to do this:

• Check Ball Size: Make sure the ball allows your feet to rest flat on the floor and your knees to be at a 90-degree angle.
• Limit Sitting Time: Start with short periods and gradually increase as your balance improves.
• Safety First: Keep your workspace clear of obstacles and avoid sharp objects near the ball.

Results can vary, and it’s a good idea to alternate between the ball and a traditional chair for comfort and support.

To keep your exercise ball in good shape:

• Wipe it down regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers, which can damage the surface.
• Store the ball indoors, away from direct sunlight and sharp objects.
• Check for signs of wear or punctures before each use.

Proper care can help extend the life of your stability ball and keep it safe for workouts.

Many people use stability balls for gentle stretching and core exercises during pregnancy. If you’re considering this:

• Consult Your Healthcare Provider: Always check with a medical professional before starting any new exercise routine during pregnancy.
• Look for Anti-Burst Features: Many 55 cm balls are designed to be durable and anti-burst for added safety.
• Use on a Non-Slip Surface: This helps prevent the ball from moving unexpectedly.

Exercise balls can support a variety of movements, but personal safety and comfort should always come first.
