Shop-Vac 2.5 Gallon 2.5 Peak HP Wet & Dry Portable Vacuum

I had one that finally died and it was probably 15 years old. when I got this I realized it had a lot more suction than the old one. This size was just the size I needed.

I've never gone wrong with ShopVac brand. In my experience they do eventually wear out (after years of use) but until that point they work and work and work. When my last one stopped working I looked for a replacement and thought the ShopVac brand was too expensive. I tried the Walmart brand off the shelf, but unfortunately something went wrong almost immediately. Super loud motor noise and an acrid burning smell. I returned it, no problems there. I'm not saying the Walmart brand version is no good, I think I got a defective one. I'm all for trying a less expensive option. I continued searching online for a better price on the ShopVac and bought this from Walmart.com during the “prime” days. The price was right and it's a brand in which I've got a lot of confidence. I use this little vacuum a lot, for water and also really dirty jobs, like garages and sheds. It works great. It's loud but I wear hearing protection so that is not an issue for me.
