It appears from a couple reviews, they did not realize the legs are placed under the seat cover at the bottom. Turn the chair sideways or upside down and you will see a black material, go ahead and pull that material back, it is on with velcro. There you will locate the box that contains the legs with instructions for assembly along with the screw bolts and ratchet. Remove the box from the ties. Follow the leg attachment instructions. Two are labeled C for the front legs, and under the velcro is the matching labels and where you screw in the bolts. The back legs are D and E. Follow the instructions/labels. D goes with D and E goes with E. Very easy to assemble. I do believe they should not have taken for granted all consumers would know the legs are underneath the bottom. Should have included the instructions on the outside somewhere. With that said, it is a very nice and good quality chair. It is not whimpy. The back cushion is removable. The seat cushion is NOT removable. I would suggest using a throw on the seat cushion, especially if you have one or more pets that want to enjoy the chair. This is a very nice chair at this price point. I didn't see any pressboard. Upholstery is sewn very well. Does not look like typical big box or Ikea furniture. Assembly is easy. Just screw on the legs. The wood does have a finish over it to look like pine. The seat is firm so I would not recommend it for everyday use. Good for tall people. I am 5' 7" and if I am sitting all the way back in the chair my feet just touch the floor. I assume short people can put pillows behind them. Weight limit says 250 on the bottom label.
