I had made these purchases for my wife as gift, so i mounted the reel on the rod and pushed the button and turned the handle ...WOW !!! It is the smoothest reel needless to say my wife was very happy with it and so was I..Our first fishing trip out she caught a 5 1/2 pound Large Mouth Bass and a 10 pound Blue Cat ...Drag worked like champ! So Yes I Am Very Impressed with this reel

Best reel I've ever used
I grew up using Zebco spincast reels. I've continued using them all my life. The Zebco Omega Pro 3 is the most expensive reel I've ever purchased, but it is hands down the best reel I've ever used. Casting is far and smooth, retrieval is incredibly smooth. The drag system is accurate and works perfectly. I love the easy to swap line spool setup and the ability to swap between a single and dual crank handle. Overall well worth the investment! The reel helped me wrangle in a beautiful 30" northern pike a couple weeks ago without breaking a sweat.
